The dictionary defines success as “The favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one’s goals.” or “The attainment of wealth, position, honors or the like.”
The most important definitions comes from this question. What does success mean to you? Think about it for a few moments. Each of us have our own definition of what success means to us. With varying degrees of accomplishments that determines success for our lives.
To me success is defined solely by one thing. It isn’t money or fame or anything that is monetary. It’s an emotion that’s felt within the heart. That emotion is happiness. If you aren’t happy than all the success in the world will mean nothing. To be successful you must be happy.
Happiness begins at the start on your road to success. For it is the journey, not the end result that will define the amount of happiness experienced. The end result alone will not bring lasting happiness, it must come from making a decision to be happy during the journey.
Maybe you feel that you haven’t experienced success in your life. Whether it be from a lack of accomplishment or a lack of satisfaction from your accomplishments. But don’t worry about it. You still have time to experience lasting success.
Take some time to think about what will make you happy. That is where you will find success for your life. Success doesn’t have to be grandiose in terms of materialistic gain. Some of the simplest things in life often bring us the most happiness.
If you have found success in the form of lasting happiness, then you’ve found the purest form of success. Rejoice in your victory. If you haven’t found it yet, keep searching. Take the time to reflect upon what matters most to you in life. Find your own version of success, not what the masses think is success.
The spark of the creative process begins with inspiration. Inspiration strikes like a lightning bolt during a summer storm. It is a madness that sends into a fever pitch of activity. When inspiration strikes we must utilize it to our advantage.
Inspiration has no concept of time. It may strike at any moment of the day. Day or night. It could be during the middle of the night. Or in the middle of your current work day. Inopportune times that may hinder the creative process of inspiration.
Don’t fret about it when this occurs. Take a few minutes to jot down your ideas. Make sure that you grab the essence of the idea. When you have the free time, you’ll be able to recollect and continue upon that inspiration.
If you are granted a moment when inspiration hits and you have the time, be grateful. For there is nothing stopping you from giving it your all. Give it hell and do not stop. Paint, write, design, whatever it takes for you to act upon that inspiration.
Creativity doesn’t have a schedule. So it is essential you utilize your time when it does come. You never know what may happen when inspiration hits. Sparking a creative process that could change the course of your life.
So what limitations are holding you back in finding your purpose? You’ve been searching for it but to no avail. Let me ask you this. Have you been passively searching for your purpose, waiting for it to magically appear? Or have you been searching day and night relentlessly for acquiring insights to what it might be? You see, purpose is all about your mindset.
If you truly desire to find your purpose in life it must become a borderline obsession. Never giving up the pursuit and what glorious rewards that will be waiting for you.
So what is holding you back? The answers lie within your mind. Fears, doubts and limiting beliefs often cloud the mind. It creates a fog that blinds opportunity for the sake of security.
The fear of failure is at the top. The fear of failure cripples any chance of finding your purpose. You fail in life no matter what. What makes the difference is how you react to that failure. What you learn from it and how you move on from it. Fears are but an illusion within the mind. They will always be there but you must not let them control you.
Doubts and limiting beliefs also hurt your chances in finding your purpose. If you don’t believe that you will find your purpose then you won’t You have to believe that you will find it. Don’t doubt yourself. You are powerful beyond measure and you will live a happy life.
Don’t allow limitations to stop you from finding your purpose. Understand that you are worthy. You are confident. You are awesome. Shift your mindset from I won’t to I will find my purpose in life.
This is about having the courage to move out of your comfort zone. If you’re afraid that’s fine, everyone is afraid when they try to get more out of life. The key is to feel the fear and continue to move forward. Don’t waste your true potential because of the limitations you set up in your mind. Trust me you have greatness within you.
Ramp up your efforts in finding your purpose. Be patient. When you put in the effort there will be more opportunities but remember this, not every opportunity is for you.
Crush those limiting factors within your mind that are holding you back from finding your purpose. It will open new doors for your life.
As you all know, I’m currently in the process of writing my first book. The title of it is Rock Bottom: Rise from the Ashes. Rejuvenate your life. After spending some time doing some research about writing and publishing a book. I realized that there is a lot more to writing a book than at first glance.
It’s not just about writing a book then calling it a day. The process is a lot more involved than that. Besides creating content, editing and formatting your finished work. That’s just the beginning.
Okay so maybe there isn’t a million different things but there is more than meets the eye. The first main point is publishing. Whether to go the traditional route or self publish your book.
Traditional publishing entails you going to a publisher or publishing house with your book. They do all of the work for you in terms of marketing, printing, etc… In return you sign a contract with that publisher, essentially giving away the rights to your book. You are paid a royalty for your book sales.
Self publishing is where you are the publisher for your book. A popular way of doing this is using Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) program. There you can upload your book for free. Amazon takes a royalty for each sale, depending on the price of your book. You keep the rights to your book.
I plan on going the self published route when I finish my book. When going the self published route, you are going to be in charge of everything else that comes with publishing a book. Mostly marketing your book.
In the digital age we live in it is crucial to have an online presence as an upcoming author. This is all about promoting your book and building a community with your readers. Having social media accounts like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to name a few. Joining groups and conversations as well as giving potential readers insights into your book.
Marketing doesn’t stop with just social media.
It also helps to start a blog. Giving your readers a place to go to learn more about you and your book. This doesn’t mean that you have to post something everyday. Once a week can be sufficient. Make your blog an extension of your book. Giving your readers value and having them fall in love with your work.
Going back to amazon, it is important that you price your book right. Price it too high and no one will buy your book. Take the time to look at the prices of other books in your genre. It is also about having the proper keyword strings for your book so that people can find your book on amazon. Creating a great book description that will entice people to buy. Creating an author page on amazon so that potential buyers can learn more about you. Getting those who read your book to write thoughtful reviews to boost visibility.
Advertising and giveaways are other avenues when it comes to promoting your book. Using Facebook ads or amazon to promote your book so that more people will see it. For giveaways, Goodreads allows you to have a giveaway for your book. It is a great way to get more people interested.
So this may not be a million things but writing a book does have a lot to it. Especially when doing a self published book.
Hopefully this does not deter you from writing that book. There are options you can have for aspects you find less appealing. Hiring a professional for your book cover or having someone write out your book description on amazon. Or any of the marketing aspect. It might cost some money but if you don’t have the time it will help you.
Happy Writing! I hope that your book becomes a bestseller!
You’ve hears the stories of people making a living off of their blogs. The countless success stories of those who earn thousands of dollars per month. Maybe you’re deciding to throw your hat in the ring. Thinking it might be a get rich quick way of making a living. Well think again.
Being a successful blogger is something that doesn’t happen overnight. If you think that you can make loads of money right away then you’re sorely mistaken. Blogging is something that must be built from the ground up.
Building a successful blog takes time. Building up your community, getting engagement with your posts and growing your content to reach your desired readers. This all takes time. Long before you can start making money from your blog, you must grow it first.
You must have some core values set for yourself and your blog. This will help you when the going gets tough. Especially when you’re first starting out and struggling to gain readers.
It can take months or even years to make any money from your blog. Even then the returns might be smaller than you had hoped for.
Making blogging a full time job takes patience, hard work and continuous learning. It is a process of continuous improvement. Developing your craft and delivering messages that your readers will love. The money will eventually come if you decide to take that route with your blog.
Blogging is a journey, not a sprint. So if you want to become a blogger be prepared to be in it for the long haul. Don’t give up in those early days, when you aren’t getting any engagement with your posts. Stick with it. You will be successful one day if you don’t quit.
Everyone is good at something in life. Whether it be sports, writing, music, business, art or anything in between. There are unlimited possibilities for this question. Maybe it isn’t a natural talent but something you’ve developed over the years. It doesn’t have to be something big. It can be something small that you do better than anyone else. There are no wrong answers with this question.
The reason I ask this question is that we often ignore or don’t give ourselves enough credit for the things we do well in life. This question is about giving yourself more credit and possibly giving you some insight on how to live a life you truly enjoy.
Maybe you have something that you enjoy doing but you’re terrible at it. But you want to improve to get better and better. Enjoyment and talent can be combined with a positive attitude for improving your skills.
Here are some additional questions to answer:
What natural talents do you possess?
What is something that you enjoy but want to improve on?
Why are you good at this?
This is more of a fun question to answer. Can’t think of anything you are good at? Don’t worry about it. I’m sure you can think of something. Remember it can be something small such as being a good listener or having a great attitude.
I would love to hear your answers to these questions. We all have different talents and gifts. That is what makes this world so incredible.
I’m happy to have you for this fireside chat. As the week comes to a close I have something I wish to share with you. This week’s topic is about the trait of persistence and how it can change your life.
So take a seat and let’s begin my dear friend.
It is a trait that mother nature has had since the beginning of time. Water carving out valleys between mountains. Though slow in the process, tons of rock is eventually eroded away. Nothing on this earth can defeat persistence. It is a trait that can’t comprehend surrender.
Those who have tasted the sweet victory of success throughout the eons have possessed this unwavering trait. Never taking no for n answer. Never giving in to the defeats and failures that life will bring. Pushing forward against the slimmest of odds. Trying again and again until success becomes and inevitable result.
Persistence is the mortal enemy of mediocrity. For with persistence, all obstacles eventually crumble. Adversity is tamed. Failure is whipped. Life yields and releases its riches.
This trait combines the mind, heart and soul. Working together in harmony to achieve the end result. No matter what the costs might be. Digging to the deepest depths of the human will, all for one more attempt for the victor’s crown.
You see, persistence encompasses only one thing. How bad do you want it? It is about seeing how far one may go and how much one can take. How many times you can get knocked down and get back up with a smile on your face. If you want something as badly as you want to breathe. Persistence is the trait that makes it a reality.
The only way that persistence may be developed is through the trials and tribulations of life. It is the process of overcoming anything that life throws at you. To keep moving forward regardless of the current circumstances. Trudging through the mud to a brighter future.
To have persistence you must never give up. There is no other way. There never will be another way. Life will always have a price to pay for anything worthwhile. It’s up to you to pay the price no matter how high the cost. The reward must be of your wildest dreams. Otherwise you’ll quit along the way. You must love the journey. Regardless of how bumpy the ride might be. Most of all, surrender must not be part of your vocabulary. Success is the only option for your life.
I hope you enjoyed our chat. May today be the best day of your life and the coming days keep getting better. Until we meet again next week I hope that your coming week is filled with joy and prosperity. Thank you for stopping by.

Before I begin I want to remind you that this is not a traditional book review. This is a more personalized book review about how this book has changed my life. Also I want to share what this book might do for you.
The secret to me was the most influential book in my life. It enlightened me to the true power that the mind possesses. This book taught me how your thoughts shape the world around you.
I read this book my senior year of high school. It was the beginning of the school year and I knew that I wasn’t going to college. I wanted a half-day internship for a gym that I was a member at. I wanted to secure a future job as a personal trainer so that when I graduated I could make a living.
I thought that it would be a reasonable proposition. My grades were good and I would have enough credits to graduate if I went to school for half a day. But my school had other ideas about it. Long story short I was fighting to be able to get this internship. The superintendent never gave me the light of day to talk. I was even threatening to drop out at that point. I was a few days away from doing so.
I remember walking by this bookshelf in my parents house a thousand times. For some reason I stopped and there I saw it. The Secret. It was like the book was calling to me. I grabbed it and decided to read it that night. I read the entire book that night.
I went to bed that night deciding that I was going to use the law of attraction to my advantage. I got the internship approved the next day. It shocked me. From that point on I’ve practiced the principles of the secret into my everyday life. The secret changed the whole dynamic of my life and how I keep watch on my thoughts.
Since then I read the book at least once a year. I practice gratitude every morning for everything I have in my life, both present and future. I’ve realized that thoughts are energy and the universe will attract the frequency that those thoughts are on. Whether positive or negative.
The author, Rhonda Byrne made the secret easy to understand and comprehend for anyone. That is why the book had such a positive impact upon me. Applying the [principles takes little effort.
